EVENTS LIGHTING PRODUCER
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and creatively driven Events Lighting Producer to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of immersive lighting experiences for live events. The Lighting Producer will work closely with creative, technical, and production teams to ensure lighting design is delivered on time, on budget, and in line with the artistic vision of each event.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT WILL NOT BE LIMITED TO:
Oversee the end-to-end lighting production process from concept to execution.
• Collaborate with Lighting Designers to translate creative briefs into feasible lighting concepts and production plans.
• Coordinate with production managers, stage designers, and technical directors to integrate lighting into the overall event experience.
• Manage lighting teams, including programmers, operators, and technicians, ensuring alignment with design and safety standards.
• Source and manage lighting equipment, rentals, and suppliers, balancing cost, availability, and creative needs.
• Lead pre-production meetings, site visits, and rehearsals to ensure smooth implementation.
• Troubleshoot lighting-related issues during setup and showtime, maintaining high production quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and technical standards throughout the production process.
• Maintain post-event documentation and reports, including debriefs and recommendations for future improvements.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience in lighting production for live events, concerts, or festivals.
• Strong understanding of lighting design principles, fixtures, and consoles.
• Experience managing teams in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret lighting plots and CAD drawings.
• Familiarity with software tools like Vectorworks, Capture, or Lightwright is a plus.
• Willingness to travel and work irregular hours, including nights and weekends during event periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Background in live entertainment, music festivals, or touring productions.
• Technical training or certification in lighting or production management is a plus.
• Strong aesthetic sense and understanding of how lighting supports storytelling, mood, and energy at live events.
